Michael Wallendorf

Research Statistician

Michael Wallendorf is a Research Statistician who joined the Division of Biostatistics in January 2010. He received his Ph.D. in 2001 from Iowa State University with comajors in Statistics and Animal Ecology. He also received M.S. degrees in Environmental Science (1985) and Mathematics (1988) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Michael worked over 20 years as a statistical consultant to pharmaceutical companies, the National Animal Disease Center, natural resource agencies, and university researchers in entomology and ecology. Since coming to the Division of Biostatistics, he has worked on research involving weight loss maintenance, pediatric neurology, pediatric asthma, geriatric ability to drive, diabetes, cholesterol, and orthopaedic surgery.

He is a member of the Biostatistics Core of the Washington University Intellectual and Developmental Research Center (WUIDDRC) and the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS) Research Design and Biostatistics Group (RDBG).
