J. Philip Miller


Professor Miller is Director of the Translational Research Design and Analysis Center (TRAC) for the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (supported by the WU CTSA grant). He was the founding Director of the WU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center Biostatistics Core and the Biostatistics Shared Resource for the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center. He previously has directed coordinating centers for a number of NIH supported clinical trials including the PKD Treatment Network (HALT-PKD), Ocular Hypertension Treatment Study (OHTS), the Extremity Constraint Induced Therapy Evaluation (EXCITE), the CRISP PKD study, and Frailty and Injuries: Cooperative Studies of Intervention Techniques (FICSIT) . He has a long history of research in Duchenne Dystrophy, particularly with the CIDD group. He has collaborated with many groups within WUSM involved in neuroimaging, smoking cessation, long-term follow-up of hypertensive veterans, cognitive rehabilitation, the role of ventricular arrhythmias and interventions to enhance the lives of older adults.
