Matthew Brown joined the Division of Biostatistics in November 2004.
Currently Matthew serves as the Research Administrator for the Division. Responsibilities include working with faculty, Department Administrators, outside Institutions, and the Office of Sponsored Research Services on compiling the required materials (budgets, justifications, tables, etc.) for grant submissions, Just-In-Time requests, continuations and closeouts. He also assists with maintaining the Division’s Grant Database and assists with IRB approval and renewal.
Matthew also serves as the Program Administrator for Dr. Rao’s Post-Doctoral training grant. Responsibilities include coordinating appointments/reappointments and terminations, coordinating meetings, tracking abstracts, posters and publications, tracking trainee milestones, and compiling progress reports.
In addition, Matthew assists the MSIBS Program Manager with the MSIBS website and other duties as needed. He also assists in managing the content of the Division of Biostatistics’ website.
