Karen Clark Laseter
Karen Clark Laseter has been with Washington University School of Medicine since 1985, and with the Division since 2009. She has worked on several research projects in the areas of Cardiology, Psychiatry, and Ophthalmology. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
Karen works as a Database Administrator on the Data Analysis and Coordinating Center, Minority Action Plan (DACC-MAP) which is funded by the NHGRI. The focus of DACC-MAP is to track the success rate of trainees that have gone through training programs designed to increase the representation of under-represented minorities in STEM fields. Her primary duties are creating databases through Washington University’s REDCap Database and Survey systems, managing the exported REDCap data in SAS, and creating and maintaining the DACC-MAP website.
